IPL 2024 Orange Cap Standings: Top Run-Scorers Battle for T20 Supremacy
In the IPL 2024, the Orange Cap race, which is for the top run-scorer, is being led by Virat Kohli, the former captain of RCB. He’s been playing impressively. But, there have been changes after a match between Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings.
Here are the current top contenders for the Orange Cap:
1) Virat Kohli:
Representing Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Kohli has been in great form this season. He has scored 181 runs with a high strike rate of 141 and an average of 90. His best score was 83 not out against Kolkata Knight Riders.
2) Heinrich Klaasen (SRH):
The South African player has been outstanding, scoring 143 runs in 2 matches with an incredible strike rate of 226 and an average of 143. His powerful batting has been crucial for SRH.
3) Shikhar Dhawan (PBKS):
Dhawan, the captain of Punjab Kings, scored a composed 70 runs against Lucknow Super Giants, placing him among the top three run-scorers with 137 runs in 3 games. He has an average of 45 and a strike rate of 133.
4) Riyan Parag (RR): A young player for Rajasthan Royals, Riyan Parag, has been in excellent form with an average of 127 and a strike rate of 171. His 84-run innings against Delhi Capitals helped Rajasthan win.
5) Nicholas Pooran (LSG):
Pooran’s aggressive 42-run innings against Punjab Kings put him in fifth place. He has scored 106 runs with a strike rate of 170 and an average of 97.
