Fire Breaks Out in Kohima's Mao Market: No Injuries Reported, Cause Under Investigation

A big fire happened in Kohima, the capital city of Nagaland, on Monday. It started in the Mao market area. People say that 10 fire trucks were quickly sent to the scene. So far, there are no reports of anyone getting hurt because the market was closed for the Assembly Elections in the state. The exact reason for the fire is still unknown. Officials from the State Disaster Management Authority, CRPF, and Assam Rifles rushed to the scene to check what’s happening.

Locals are saying that the fire might have started because of a short circuit. Firefighters are still working to put out the fire.
